How Remote Are We Talking?

Both of your parents had to leave their home regions to go to school in a different part of the state of- what's now the state of Alaska. They also grew up removed from their regions, but surrounded by native peoples. There's this amazing photo of my dad who's this incredible athlete. And because of him essentially taking the meet with seven gold medals, they changed regulation so that no athlete can compete in more than four events going forward. So anyway, so both my parents also grew up in Indian boarding schools. My mom was the house mom and my dad was the teacher and coach. It seems like such far away history. But the truth is I have ended up becoming an elder
