There's DNA mutation and shortening of the telomere length. Why can't the body just sense the damage sort of go back to a central library and produce a new youthful cell each time? People are testing this right now. My speculation is that it probably won't, because I don't believe that epigenetics are the only thing that's changing with age in our bodies.
