Is There a Link Between Short Chain Fatty Acids and Gut Health?

Short chain fatty acids are like fuel for our gut and it actually supports our gut lining to keep it healthy. It reduces that risk of the intestinal cell wall so our gut bacteria from becoming permeable and basically opening which is also known as a common term we might see in the clinic as leaky gut. People who do have higher plant diversity up to this what we see now you know the 30 different types of plant based foods a week have an overall better gut health when compared to those that had less than 10.
