The Effects of Albumin on Plasma Volume
Citations suggest that 5% albumin is about equivalent to four times its weight in crystalloid. So using that four times calculation, one unit of 5%albumin is approximately one liter of crystalloid. A 50 kilogram person would need 75 grams of albumin for every liters of fluid they use at Bellevue Hospital.
