How to Improve the Experience of the Day for Children With Cancer

Every single team we talked to had a different idea. And if i'n being blunt, everyone was a little bit wrong in their hunches as to what the right solution would be. What we try to do is take a very simple model of what happens as patients flow through the system over the course of the day. We ended up coming up with a kind of funny name for the simulation - it became, anecdotaly known as angry balls. So what we did was we visualized every patient as a little dot on the screen. The longer that dot had to wait, the more it would start to shake.
