"I was LA Times lineman of the year and I went to all these things," he says. "So you kind of knew who the players were." He played against Jay Sharp, a receiver from Lusinger in his high school league. The coaches didn't recognize Curtis Conway when they saw him play for Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. They never showed up to do their due diligence and he ended up getting a scholarship.
