The Effects of Protein Supplementation on Muscle Soreness in Athletes
I don't know any studies on, you know, showing that in a low protein intake, that there's more muscle soreness, in certain athletes. The best study i can think of, the most recent one, has done from the guys down at exeter une. They did combine protein with a polypenal supplementation but they've done the sort of most indept dive into the muscle following damage to see what's going on. So those processes are unlikely to have contributed to that acceleration of recovery. And where we're out with this is, you would never want a compromise adequate, high quality protein intake. It might help you recover quicker, but it's certainly not due to mechanisms
