We pursue people who aren't interested in us as a bit of a defense mechanism because we don't love ourselves. Wouldn't you say you're willing to show up for someone else but not yourself? Yeah, that is us avoiding taking a good hard look in the mirror. And frankly, it's the perfect distraction to focus on them. Then you don't need to go inward. That's our logic. It's a fun feeling. For sure, I get that. There's no shame in that at all. But in the spirit of being human, we also do it because it feels good to fall for someone else."
