Race Strategy - Is Banking Time a Good Strategy?

Banking time is when people intentionally attempt to run the first part of their race faster than race pace so that they can run the second half slower. The science, as well as reality and experience, points to the fact that it's better to start slower and work down and finish strong. "You want to start conservatively, bank energy so that you can finish strong at the end," he says.
