The Hygiene Hypothesis and the Rise of Allergies and Auto-Munity
One of every 10 people has a food allergy and it's different than a sensitivity. I read that it's getting worse. And people are developing them later in life. One theory is why we think allergies and auto-munity is skyrocketing is because now we've expanded the hygiene hypothesis to include gut bacteria. The kids that are not getting enough gut bacteria and immune stimulation are ending up with allergies.
