Has Our Thinking About Regret Been All Wrong?
Just the Right Book with Roxanne Coady
Is That What You Value?
When you really categorize your regrets, what you begin to understand is what you value. The idea that a when i was reading this book, occurred to me as there was a memoir by corey taylor about her dying. And she realized that when she contemplates paths not taken, she doesn't subject them to vagaries of real life, but rather keeps the outcome in the ideal world. Is that how most of us look back on regrets and actions not taken? I think that it's possible. In fact, i'm convinced that ive experience it myself, that you can have a regret and still be satisfied with your life.
