What Does Mindfulness Mean?

The only person who can be mindful and do something about it is oneself. It's a quality that certainly according to the Buddhist tradition is there when the mind is healthy and alert. When mindfulness is present, lots of other factors come into play too like confidence, alertness, good humour, balance. And one needs it of course in meditation.
