Is There a One to One Mapping With Emotions?
There's no biological measure that's going to be kind of a one to one mapping with emotions. That's why people's self reports are priceless, because consciousness is integrator. People's day to day emotion reports are predicting changes in cardivascular function or changes in ingine expression and immune system. So its, you know, if it were all just people saying, what? Oh, they're just giving you the reports you want to hear. Well, their hearts aren't going to change. There is something objective going on. It's certainly not perfect, but it allows science to progress.
