Large language models read trillions of words from digitized content on the web to predict the next word in a sentence based on past words. They can assign probabilities to various words, even uncommon ones, and can predict with reference to stylistic directions. These models memorize and interpolate various concepts, creating multidimensional representations. By adding filters and reducing the search base, the models gain finer control and accuracy. With access to more compute power, models can attend to multiple stylistic directions simultaneously, enhancing their usefulness.
