Stats comparing jail, college, sadness in intact vs non families
Kids in intact married households are more likely to flourish compared to non-intact families. Children in intact families are twice as likely to graduate college, while boys from non-intact families are twice as likely to end up in prison or jail. Girls and boys in non-intact families are 50% more likely to be sad as eighth graders. Moreover, young men from non-intact families are more likely to go to prison or jail than graduate college, in contrast to boys from intact families where only 9% end up in prison or jail and 38% graduate from college.
