NOTE

Did the Classical View of Physics Go Away?

At the beginning of the 20th century, the field of physics was well-established with classical Newtonian mechanics and Maxwell's theory of electricity and magnetism. However, there were persistent problems that challenged the classical view, such as radiation behavior and the understanding of electrons and atoms. The biggest problem was the inability to explain why the negatively charged electron didn't spiral into the positively charged proton, leading to the existence of atoms. This problem intrigued scientists like Bohr and Rutherford.
