Success is often achieved by fitting in and imitating others. People are rewarded for conforming to the group and choosing to say things that help them fit in rather than being completely honest. There is an evolutionary tendency for individuals to imitate others as a means of survival, as fitting in leads to rewards. This phenomenon is observed in various aspects of life such as group think, formulas, and imitation, as individuals strive to succeed by following the norms and behaviors of the group.
