Why Does Bitcoin Need to Expand?
The problem with having a finite supply of Bitcoin is that it makes Bitcoin less like real money and more volatile. Bitcoin's price is subject to speculation and its scarcity drives the expectation of immense future price increases. This artificial deflationary nature of Bitcoin as a currency makes it less stable and more likely to be replaced by a currency that resembles gold.
