Loneliness and a sense of injustice have led to an increase in fights, murder rates, and abusive behavior in society. People who feel unrecognized lash out and become vicious. Hurt people hurt people. Loneliness makes individuals suspicious and cuts them off from the social connections they need. The viciousness we see in politics is often fueled by a feeling of disrespect.
