Hyper-Feminism in the Christian Marriage

In contrast to utilitarianism, objectification occurs when viewing others as objects instead of people. This dilemma arises within Christian marriages and challenges traditional gender roles. The belief that femininity and masculinity are fixed categories restricts individual expression and fails to recognize our shared humanity. The cultural response to this breakdown has led to hyper-feminization and hyper-masculinity, where individuals adhere strictly to gender stereotypes. Some even see a tendency towards hyper-feminization within parts of the Catholic community. This rigid adherence to gender roles limits personal growth and flexibility.
