Research by Maya Tamir and Iris Maus suggests that people who feel bad about negative emotions have poorer well-being compared to those who accept them as normal. Just because something feels bad doesn't mean it's bad for you. Unfortunately, in life, we don't always get to choose our lessons or how we learn them.
