NOTE

What Is the Meaning of Problem-Solving Capacity?

The world and universe can be viewed as spaces filled with problems of varying difficulties, with intelligent agents interacting with these problems to demonstrate their intelligence. Intelligence is fundamentally linked to problem-solving capacity; without a problem to address, raw cognitive potential remains unexpressed. All forms of intelligence are inherently specialized, with human intelligence particularly attuned to human experiences and certain categories of problems. This specialization manifests in our innate knowledge and abilities, such as understanding goal-driven behaviors and acquiring language, which are easier for us due to our evolutionary design. While we excel in long-term problem solving, our capabilities diminish when it comes to analyzing long-term outcomes and managing extensive working memory, illustrating the constraints of human intelligence in the context of problem-solving.
