The Stronghold of Evil
Strongholds are ideas and ideologies that are animated by a demonic power. They enslave us under the dominion of the enemy rather than in the freedom of Christ. The word here is hoop soma and it's hard to translate into english it more literally means exalted thing. Eugene Peterson translates it as warped philosophies for our purposes its ideologies.
