Fermentation is a process in which cancer cells generate energy without oxygen using fuel sources like glucose and glutamine. Unlike normal cells that switch back to oxygen usage when oxygen is available, cancer cells remain locked in fermentation. By depriving cancer cells of glucose and glutamine, it is possible to cause their death.
