NOTE

Efficiency Gains and Jevons Paradox in Energy Consumption

Switching to an electric car results in significant efficiency gains as only 20 cents are wasted for every cent of electricity put in, with 80 cents going towards moving the car. This leads to using three to four times less energy to drive the same distance compared to traditional vehicles. Despite efficiency gains in technology, the Jevons Paradox comes into play, where improved efficiency can lead to either the same or increased energy consumption due to reduced costs, making technology more accessible to a larger population.
