The global pandemic presents an opportunity to respond to diseases differently/nTo effectively respond to pandemics, we must center the lives of those most at risk/nThis includes black indigenous people of color, queer and trans working-class individuals, those living in street economies, incarcerated and institutionalized people, and disabled individuals/nThe survival and care of these communities must be a priority/nRelying on the state to take care of us is not an option for many people, and we must take control of our own survival and care
