Basis of Moral Obligations

Moral obligations are established based on imperatives issued by a qualified authority. Without such imperatives, there is no objective right or wrong, only subjective illusions of human consciousness. The absence of a moral law giver and authority in atheism leads to a lack of foundation for determining objective moral standards.
