The Need for Using Infrastructure Code and Defender in Azure
To ensure a secure infrastructure, it's important to use both infrastructure as code and Defender. While infrastructure as code ensures that the outcome is consistent, it doesn't monitor for changes. Defender picks up changes made outside of the deployment such as security risks. It provides more contextual information than the template analyzer used in infrastructure as code. Using both is similar to conducting static and dynamic code analysis in application code reviews.
