Anderson and His 75 Soldiers in the Fort

Anderson and his 75 soldiers, members of the US Army Corps of Engineers, are stationed in a fort without any instructions from Buchanan's administration. They are left on their own without guidance on how to behave or what to do. General Beauregard, a pupil of Anderson and knowledgeable in military artillery tactics from West Point, is leading the southern forces against them.
