Why Not All Friends Want the Best for You | Ep 535
The Game with Alex Hormozi
*Keep the Right Relationships for You *
In relationships, both personal and business, it is important to have a sense of abundant exchange, where both parties feel they are getting a better deal. Effort and value provided should be disproportionate in favor of the other person. Relationships should continue if this is the case. However, if you find yourself questioning whether to keep certain relationships, you likely already know the answer. Sometimes it is necessary to do the hard thing in decision-making, as the easy thing would have been done already if it were right. Rather than thinking of cutting ties as burning bridges, it can be viewed as pruning a tree to promote growth. Just because someone is no longer a friend does not mean they are an enemy. It is possible to want someone to succeed while recognizing that their vision for their life may not align with yours. Appreciate the seasons of relationships and the contributions made by both parties. It is okay for relationships to end when individuals want different things, as that is part of the learning process.
