Previously, during the unipolar American triumphalism era, the United States could selectively interpret and apply international law based on its interests. However, with the transition to multipolarity, other regions of the world are also politicizing international law by using concepts like human rights and responsibility to protect. This has led to a situation where various countries, such as Russia, mirror the US's past actions by using similar arguments to justify their interventions and aggressions.
