In progressive Christianity, the view on sin, the cross, and hell is fluid with many thought leaders leaning towards universalist beliefs where everyone is saved and there is a rejection of a literal hell. Views on hell vary among progressive Christians from seeing it as consequences of negative actions to a complete rejection of the concept. On the other hand, within Mormonism, the afterlife and judgment involve being assigned to different levels of heaven based on faithfulness and the concept of outer darkness for individuals who have received and rejected full light and covenants of the LDS Church.
