Applied behavior analysis is a school of thought used to work with nonverbal individuals. It is effective, similar to how we train animals. Taking care of their needs and providing positive reinforcement results in desired behavior. Punishment and fear-based training methods are ineffective and create distress. We are trainable beings, just like animals. The same principles could theoretically apply to PETA.
