Identifying oneself as a loser in situations where the desire to help others becomes controlling and egocentric can lead to a shift in perspective. By realizing that inserting oneself into other people's problems can stem from a need for validation and control, one can let go of the belief that they have all the answers. Instead of trying to fix people, it is more loving to be present with them in their pain and empower them to find their own solutions. Understanding that everyone has the right to be sovereign from our opinions and that we are not the ultimate authority on others' lives can help in setting healthier boundaries and supporting others without trying to control or fix their problems.
