The music is shaped by the rest between the notes, not just the notes themselves. Similarly, in life, what truly shapes our lives are the compelling aspects as well as the spaces between them. Just as music needs rests to create harmony and not become noise, our lives also require breaks and pauses between our passions and interests to maintain value and meaning.
