The speaker was wrongfully convicted of murder in absentia and sentenced to 28 and a half years before being exonerated by the Supreme Court. However, the media bias had already portrayed her as the murderer, leading to a tarnished legacy and continual alienation from others. Even after her exoneration, she faced public scrutiny, judgment, and persistent media attention. She was also convicted of slander, further perpetuating the negative public perception of her. The speaker struggled to reintegrate into society and live a normal life, feeling confined by the worst experience of her life and the biased portrayal of her in the media.
