They chose the name 'Data Colada' to reflect their work without appearing overly serious. Concerns were raised about unreliable findings in research, particularly regarding the pressure to publish interesting results, leading to the practice of 'P hacking'. This involves selectively reporting favorable results by measuring multiple things but only reporting the preferred ones, or dropping certain study conditions and not discussing them.
