The complexity of personal beliefs and the balance between criticism and understanding

There's a lot to religion, but sometimes it's nice to just stop thinking about it. I have mixed feelings about devout individuals, but I don't want to offend them. There's a story called 'Flow' that explores the tension between contempt for the church and awe for its beauty. I don't want to tell people what to believe, but I value truth and wonder.
