Desires have a cumulative effect and one desire leads to another. To keep track of your changing desires, it's important to maintain a desired journal. Life often chokes off positive desires, so it's essential to remember what you want and not forget about it. The fly wheel of desire works when you genuinely desire something and it becomes effortless. Understanding the path-dependent nature of desires can set us up for success in achieving them.

He’s currently Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Director of Programs at the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship, where he also teaches business at The Catholic University of America. He is also the author of Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life.
