The Relationship Between Emotions and Feelings
Emotions are a set of actions linked to bodily changes, such as fear causing bulging eyes and a pulled back posture, which then produce the feeling of fear. The word 'emotion' etymologically means 'to move to the outside', indicating that emotions are directed outward. Meanwhile, feelings are subjective experiences resulting from these bodily representations of emotions. It's suggested that in the course of human evolution, feelings may have preceded emotions.
