The cuisine offers a diverse range of dishes, including light soup, steamed dishes, and stir-fried vegetables, all of which balance out the perception of deep-fried, salty, and sweet dishes. Additionally, the sophisticated vocabulary of Chinese cooking, similar to that of the French, is often not fully recognized due to translation challenges. Contrary to popular belief, certain parts of China had restaurants hundreds of years before Paris.
