Effectiveness of SSRIs in Treating Anxiety
The study examined the effectiveness of using SSRIs in patients with anxiety, alongside hydroxyzine. Despite slight differences in the groups, all patients, irrespective of the treatment combination, showed positive changes. Both groups experienced reduced depression and anxiety related to eating. Patients on SSRIs saw an increase in BMI, from 88 to 96 for SSRIs alone and 89 to 98 for SSRIs with hydroxyzine over a year.
