Nurturing Ideas for Growth

Ideas in a story need to have a purpose and the right timing. Sometimes, even if you love an idea, it may not fit well and has to be cut out. However, these ideas can be revisited and reworked in the future. Everything in a story deserves to be nurtured and given the opportunity to evolve into something else, with the belief that every idea should have three beats of development.
