The Project of Consciousness

In the midst of political maneuvering and shifting alliances, the idealistic dreams of communism and democracy were overshadowed by the capitalist powers. The Spanish communists realized too late that their cause had been sacrificed for others' interests. However, this setback does not mean that the broader project of human consciousness coming into self-awareness has been defeated. Despite wrong turns and misplaced faith, there is still hope for a renewed spark within us all.
