To strategically select skills, evaluate successful individuals in your field and determine the key factors that propelled their career advancement. By studying those ahead of you, you can identify valuable skills and avoid learning random ones, leading to more intentional career growth.

One of the more important abilities to cultivate for the year ahead is comfort learning complicated (and therefore valuable) new things.
