Concentration vs. Mindfulness in the Flow State
In the debate between mindfulness and flow, the flow state is characterized by concentration or undistractedness, where one is fully immersed without constant self-awareness. This state of consciousness, as defined by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, does not involve metacognition. In contrast, mindfulness involves being aware of and observing one's thoughts.
