Más evidencias de la importancia del sueño en el aprendizaje.
The timing of original learning and sleep does not affect the consolidation effect. However, age plays a crucial role as the effects of sleep on learning are three times larger in young children. Babies and young children need more sleep as they are learning more. There is evidence of homeostasis where more learning during the day requires more sleep at night. Lack of sleep hinders the ability to learn and consolidate. Sleep is when discoveries are made, even by children who understand the multiple meanings of words during sleep and consolidate their learning.
