High frequency trading (HFT) is a fascinating and fast-paced trading system used in financial markets. It operates at incredibly fast speeds, with some traders working at the scale of nanoseconds. Although individual trades are small, the volume of trades allows for significant profits to accumulate. HFT comprises approximately 50% of the US financial trading markets, making it a major player in the industry.
