The Shift from Feudalism to Capitalism and Religious Reformation

The transition from the feudal system to capitalism brought about a different way of organizing people, where individuals were no longer chained to a class for life, but were considered equal. This shift also coincided with the Protestant-Catholic conflict, leading to religious reformation that allowed for greater liberty in interpreting the Bible and largely abandoned the hierarchical structure of the clergy.
