Carpal Tunnel Six - What Are the Signs and Symptoms?
In patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, common physical findings include numbness and tingling in the median nerve distribution, nighttime symptoms, a positive Tinel sign, a positive Phalen test, loss of thenar muscle strength, loss of two-point discrimination, and reproduction of symptoms with Durkin compression test. A detailed history and physical exam can reveal signs and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
